Nancy Cerbone, RN
Principle, Co-Founder Contributing over 17 years of experience in Workers' Compensation cost containment, Ms. Cerbone developed and directed a workers' compensation medical cost containment program as a consultant to NYS. This program involved the audit of all provider medical bills and generated millions in savings per year. Special projects included a workers' compensation managed care feasibility study, physical therapy functional testing analysis for the evaluation of claimants for return to work, identification and management of high cost provider and medical billing fraud issues. Ms. Cerbone graduated with honors from State University of Stony Brook with a BS in Nursing. Graduate studies include Medical Cost Containment and Hospital Administration. Certifications include Medical-Legal Nurse Consultant, Quality Improvement, Risk Management, and Utilization Management.
Margaret DiBenedetto, RN
Principle, Co-Founder A registered nurse for more than 30 years, Ms. DiBenedetto brings professional knowledge and vast experience to the Workers' Compensation and No-Fault arena. This journey began when she accepted a position with an Independent Medical Examination (IME) company as Medical Director, acting as a liaison between the insurance carriers and examining physicians, accountable for professional credentialing and oversight of physician reports for cognizance, completeness and causal relation. Later, as a consultant to NYS, Ms. DiBenedetto was responsible for retrospective reviews on inpatient stays, validated both DRGs and Ambulatory Surgery PAS billing, and directed proper payment. Her work realized millions in savings for NYS who recognized her for efficiency and accuracy. Ms. DiBenedetto has participated in clinical research for Duke University collecting and analyzing data obtained from patient records. Her certifications include Legal Nurse Consulting, Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance, and Utilization and Risk Management.

Elaine Brandt, RN -- Claims Auditing Specialist Elaine Brandt is the newest addition to QRConcepts' team of consultants. Ms. Brandt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, in addition to an Associate of Arts Degree in Nursing (Suffolk County Community College) and an Associates of Science in Liberal Arts and Science (SUNY Farmingdale. ) Ms. Brandt brings a diversified background to QRConcepts, including specializations in psychiatric and subacute/long term rehabilitation, nursing supervision with administrative leadership, and case management and utilization review. Along with her aptitude for details and enthusiasm for her field, Ms. Brandt's years of nursing experience have resulted in an accurate and concise approach to medical record analysis. She delights in spending quality time with her husband and daughter. Helen M. Horan -- Administrative Assistant, Office Coordinator Ms. Horan has been associated with QRConcepts for over ten years. In 2004, she became a QRC employee, her organizational and administrative talents increasing the productivity and efficiency of our company. Ms. Horan is the proud mother of six children and seventeen grandchildren. She enjoys a variety of water activities and cooking for family and friends. Shane A. Kenyon -- Information Technology Manager Mr. Kenyon manages all IT related services for the company, including responsibility for all technical systems, the QRConcepts web site and extranet, overall systems software design and planning, and contracting IT services. Shane also works at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Previously Shane was the owner of Riverwalk Communications (NY) a Web development company, and later served as vice president of strategic technology at E-Base Interactive (NY). Shane attended Hobart College in 1996 in preparation for graduate studies at RIT in software project management. He received his BA double-majoring in geography and political science from the University of Texas, San Antonio in 1993. He is a member of the IEEE and DAMA. Shane has two children and is married. Community service includes vestry at St. Peter's Church, Episcopal Diocesan Council in Rochester, board of the Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Geneva Technology Council, and Geneva Community Projects.
